A visibility study have shown that there are women and other lone ones who have been socially excluded due to low self esteem and other emotional related issues. Clinical research also analysed that 30% of women go into depression following the death of their husbands as a result of the stress hormones being produced by the body due to separation. We work with other corporate organisations, various individuals, groups, religious bodies and government at all levels, creating the awareness of the need to support the widows in the society. Knowing that when we help the widows, we are building the Nation.
Today, there are about 259 million widows in the world and only a little is known or heard about them. Most widows die in silence because their agonies are going unnoticed, and their voices are unheard. We want to raise our voices on behalf of the voiceless so as to raise the hopes of theforgotten suffers. We want to raise the issues of the plights of widows and let the world know about the pains of these silent victims.
Also to let the world know that, we we will creating a bitter society, if the issues of widowhood is left unaddressed. We need to start seeing widows as valued assets and contributors to our society, but not as objects of pity or shame.A huge of thanks to the various widows organisations that we have across the world for shedding more light on the plaques of widowhood, an epidemic that has been going unnoticed for far too long and for sharing their time and resources to mentor others.
Our mission is to promote financial independent and educational opportunities for our Widows and Orphans through schemes and programs that will promote greater self-esteem and ease of socio-economic integration. This could be achieved by empowering Widows whose lives have been defined by exclusion and providing them with much-needed tools and skills acquisition training. Such that will boost their economic lives and financial stability.
